Wheels JUST IMAGINE...how great your car, truck or motorcycle would look with a great set of custom wheels.Thinking of upgrading your existing car, truck, motorcycle or ATV wheels to a cool set of custom wheels, chrome wheels, or or alloy wheels? Of all the modifications a car enthusiast can make, a great set of custom wheels alone can make the greatest overall improvement to a vehicles' appearance. Just take a look at any car, truck or motorcycle that has really cool wheels, then imagine that vehicle without them. In most cases, upgrading to a set of custom wheels is very simple. Once you've got your tires professionally mounted and balanced, just remove the existing wheels and bolt on the new ones. What could be easier! You'll need to ensure that the offset and bolt pattern is compatible with your vehicle - the manufacturer or retailer should be able to confirm this for you. In some cases, wheel spacers may be needed between the hub and wheel, or longer studs may be needed. Again, the manufacturer or retailer should be able to quickly answer these questions. You should research and understand all these details prior to any purchase, to avoid any last minute surprises and delays. Most importantly, PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT!!! Custom wheels should always be kept clean, not only to maintain that great appearance, but to prevent road dirt and brake dust from destroying the clear coat finish. Follow your wheel manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for cleaning and storing your wheels. If your car or truck must be driven in winter weather, it is advisable to store your custom wheels, and invest in a set of cheaper steel rims (or use your vehicle's stock rims) along with a set of good winter tires. This will also save your wheels from the wear and tear of mounting and balancing tires twice a year - at the beginning and end of the winter season. If you've got the tools, you can change the wheels yourself, and keep some cash in your own pocket. Just make sure to follow all the recommended safety procedures when changing your wheels.
